Street dance
Street dance, v překladu „pouliční tanec“, je pojem, který se používá pro tance, které nevznikly v tanečním studiu. Místo toho vznikly v ulicích nebo v tanečních klubech. Tento druh tance má původ v USA a vzikl v 70. letech 20. století.
CHARAKTERISTIKA
Street dance zahrnuje všechny pouliční tance, ve kterých si nachází stále větší oblibu mladá generace. Mezi původní tance patří break dance, hip hop, popping a locking. Tanečníci se pohybují volně a snaží se vymýšlet a tvořit svůj vlastní osobní styl. Improvizace je základem většiny pouličních tanců. Základem je unikátní styltance, kterým tanečník vyjadřuje své pocity.
SOUTĚŽE
S rostoucí popularitou se rozrůstá i mnoho seriózních soutěží street dance. Mezi nejznámější soutěže patří například Battle of the Year nebo Juste Debout.
